Learn the basics with guitarist John Somerscales. This 10-week course (building into 25-weeks if you wish) will look at chord shapes, simple melodies, strumming and finger-style techniques. This class is for Beginners.  Please bring your own acoustic guitar.  You might also find a music stand useful. (It is not necessary to be able to read music). Acoustic Guitar for Beginners 2

This course is suitable for those that have already attended Acoustic Guitar for Beginners 1 or those who can already play the chords of G, D, C, A, Am, Em, Dm and are able to play simple single note melodies written in the guitar tablature system. This 10-week course will look at chord shapes, simple melodies, strumming and finger-style techniques.  This class is for Beginners.  Please bring your own acoustic guitar.  You might also find a music stand useful.  (It is not necessary to be able to read music). Acoustic Guitar for Beginners 3

For students who have already attended Acoustic Guitar Beginners 1 and/or 2. This 5-week course will continue to look at chord shapes, simple melodies, strumming and finger-style techniques. This class is for improving Beginners. Please bring your own acoustic guitar. You might also find a music stand useful.  (It is not necessary to be able to read music). Acoustic Guitar for Improvers

January 16th, 10 weeks @ £80.00 
April 24th, 5 weeks @ £42.00

This course is suitable for those that have already attended Acoustic Guitar for Beginners or for those that can already play the following:
•    Play the chords in the keys of:  D  G  A  E  C  Am  including the chords A7  D7  E7  B7.
•    Play fingerstyle arpeggios, plus basic alternating bass patterns with thumb.
•    Read and understand simple guitar instrumentals written in the guitar tablature system.
•    Understand and play the 12 bar blues chord sequence. 
(It is not necessary to be able to read music).
This 25-week course for Improvers will continue to develop your guitar playing skills. Please bring your own acoustic guitar.

Anyone Can Sing

Have you ever been told that you can’t sing? Do you believe you can’t sing? Or are you just plain petrified to sing but would love to? Anyone Can Sing is perfect for everyone that would like to ease their way into singing, whether you've never sung before or are perhaps a little rusty from not singing for a while. Techniques such as pitching and breathing will be covered to help build confidence and ensure that you are singing healthily and productively. Many genres will be covered to grow your love for music.

Lucie is passionate about singing and enjoys helping her students to experience the joys of singing freely within the safety of a group of like-minded people.


So Now You Can Sing

This course is for anyone that has successfully completed Anyone Can Sing or who can already sing simple part harmonies and knows the basics of reading a music score.  We will focus on developing technique for confident singers who are looking for a bit more of a challenge. As well as covering technical aspects, we will also look at some music theory so that you can understand what you are singing. We will sing more complex harmonies to improve your musical ear, and cover multiple genres.


Drumming Workshop

Have fun and get rhythm!!

In this class you will look at how to apply rhythms and techniques to hand drums. In the first half of the session you will try out various hand techniques and coordination on the drums and then later, the class will be split into two groups to explore cross-rhythms.

This class is suitable for beginners to intermediate.

Bring your own hand drum: conga, bongos, djembe, cajon etc however, we may be able to provide one if you want to come along but don’t have your own drum – let us know at booking.
