Important Dates	News in brief Autumn 2009
*Football practice for all years will be on Mondays after school from January 2010, from 3:15 to 4:15 pm*. Basketball practice is held on Thursdays after school from 3:05pm to 4:30 pm. Dance club is held on Thursday’s after school from 3.10 –4.15 pm.	Rugby Results Marlborough’s new year 7 rugby team have spent much of the term learning and refining how to play the wonderful game of rugby. It has been a tough 2009 campaign for Year 9 with just two wins against Henry Box and Gosford Hill. However, another superb season for arguably one of Marlborough’s strongest rugby teams, Year 8. Marlborough Sport Fund Buy a Brick Campaign 2008/9 We have been fundraising to build up to date changing facilities and a new fitness suite, to improve the sports provision for our pupils and our community. With your help we have already raised £8,000 towards our target of £10,000. If you haven't bought your brick yet, please download this letter for more details of how to purchase. Thank you.	Football News Even though it’s not the school football season until the new year the Marlborough School have had teams involved in Oxfordshire County Cup competitions and English Schools Football Association competitions. See the results and all about the year 8 football squad's trip to Wembley. Netball Well done to all of the netball players who have been turning up to train each week. You have all been working very hard and I am sure all of your efforts will be rewarded throughout your matches next term. Year 7, 8 and 9 had a fantastic start with matches against a visiting BCC. Make sure you check the notice board next term and good luck with future matches. Netball practice is held on Mondays from 3:15pm to 4:15pm. Please come along. Miss Barnett. Cologne Marathon Trip 2009 On Friday 2nd October, 15 pupils went to Cologne, this was Marlborough Schools 5th marathon. Read the report by Ollie Dawkins 8V. Basketball Basketball practice is held on Thursdays after school from 3:05pm to 4:30 pm. We already have some teams but we would love to have more of you, from all years, coming to the practice sessions. Hope to see you. Mr Gibson. Dance Dance club is held on Thursday’s after school from 3.10 –4.15. It is for all abilities and no dance experience is needed. It’s a fun way to learn some hip hop and street moves and also a great way to keep fit. Hope to see you all soon. Miss Barnett
