We are delighted with our GCSE and A level results which show a significant improvement on our 2008 outcomes, and reflect both the hard work and high levels of motivation of our pupils, and the dedication and expert guidance of our teachers.  Our GCSE results are the best that the school has achieved to date, and our A level results are in line with our best outcomes.  We are particularly pleased about the high number of pupils achieving top grades.  16 pupils in our GCSE cohort achieved 8A*/A grades or higher, and 8 of our A level pupils achieved 3 A grades or more.
We are a highly inclusive school and especially so in the sixth form, encouraging all those young people who can to aspire to taking A level courses or equivalent vocational programmes.  We have shown that we are very successful at supporting our most able sixth form students to achieve top grades and gain places at the most competitive universities.  Our expertise in guiding pupils who are less confident about sixth form study to choose courses that suit their interests and learning needs enables them to achieve their aspirations.  We endeavour to help all our students to become confident learners who can fulfil their ambitions.
