In the case of severe weather and SNOW

The school stays open as long as the buses are able to run safely. We take advice from the police and from the bus companies. Where it is thought to be unsafe to put 1000 pupils "on the road", Radio Oxford and Fox FM are contacted to broadcast a "closure notice".

If there has been overnight snowfall, parents should listen to these radio stations from 6.30 a.m. to find out whether the school is open or closed. When no "closure notice" is broadcast, parents can assume that the buses will run and that the school is open.
