National 'Legacy 110' Awards

We are happy to announce that the Marlborough Church of England School has been chosen, as one of only seven schools across the country, to receive one of the National ‘Legacy 110’ Awards, 2019. This is in recognition of the exceptional work undertaken by Alice Hipkiss, Isabel Wheeler with Mrs Onions & Mrs Prior, on the First World War Centenary Battlefields Tour ‘Legacy 110’ project, designed to ensure a lasting remembrance of the First World War across your local community. Alice & Isabel have passed their research on to younger members of the school who have taken part in workshops and events in Woodstock. Representing those students from Year 9 were Ella Thornburn, Catrin Warr and Daniela Weicha.

The prestigious awards event took place in the New Armouries Banqueting Suite at the Tower of London on Thursday 28th November 2019, where each winning school had the opportunity to showcase their project before receiving their certificate and prizes.

With very best wishes and many congratulations,
