Blenheim Annual Heritage Awards

On Thursday 14th April the seven students in the Year 10 COPE group were invited to Blenheim Palace to receive the Annual Heritage Award for group work from the Duchess of Marlborough.

We were welcomed into the Marlborough Room for the prize giving, where our students went up to collect their certificates and a prize of a book.  We then visited the education rooms to inspect all the entries from the other schools before returning to the Marlborough Room for a delicious high tea.

One of our students (Adam Holmes) had this to say:

"I thought the day out at Blenheim Palace was spectacular and we were made to feel very welcome, we attended the Blenheim Award Ceremony in the Marlborough Rooms inside of the palace with the Duchess. I enjoyed this visit because it was special to experience and it was a pleasure to look at the outstanding hard work that the other schools had produced from Oxfordshire. We received our award and a book from the Palace. Our work that we did on tourism in July 2015 was pinned onto the wall so that people could see what we did. We were surprised with our heritage award. We were then served with delicate sweet treat foods and drinks after the awards."

It was a wonderful experience for all involved.
