Apprenticeship Recruitment Fair
Back
On Thursday, 12th March, we hosted the annual Apprenticeship Recruitment Fair with stands consisting of employers, training providers and colleges, all offering local apprenticeships. Students and their parents from eight West Oxfordshire Schools were invited to attend.
The event provided a fantastic opportunity for students in Years 10 to 13 to explore the apprenticeship options available to them as a future career pathway. We were delighted to welcome over 30 exhibitors with offers of apprenticeships from Level 2 (GCSE), Level 3 (A Level) and Level 6 (Degree) in a wide variety of job roles.
The evening began with a presentation in the library, where current apprentices from the Science and Technology Facilities Council and Williams F1 gave engaging and informative speeches on their experience as an apprentice. Following the presentation, visitors were then directed to the MEC and Sports Hall where they were able to spend time visiting exhibitor stands, speaking with employers and gathering information and contact details.
We would like to thank all those who attended, as well as the exhibitors who gave up their time to provide support and information to our students as they contemplate their next steps after education.
