Year 10 Trip to Berlin

On 3rd April the annual Year 10 History trip to Berlin took place. The pupils had a really early start but spirits were high, as the sun was shining and warm. When we arrived in Berlin the beautiful weather continued as we made our way through the streets of Berlin, like a large snake with luggage.
 
The first day was spent visiting sights such as CheckPoint Charlie, Potsdamer Platz and the Olympic Stadium. The stadium was an impressive site, you could get the sense of why people who visited Berlin in 1936 were bowled over by these Olympic games.
 
Over the course of the weekend the weather was sunny and bright and the pupils were able to take in some amazing sites, such as Brandenburg Gate, the Reichstag, Sachenhausen Concentration Camp, Bernauer Strasse, plus the informative museums that the city has to offer
