Ski Trip to Les Deux Alpes
Back
During the Easter holidays, 40 students from Year 9 through to Sixth Form, enjoyed an exhilarating week in the spectacular French ski resort Les Deux Alpes. Accompanied by Dr Jones, Mr Minton, Miss Neville, Mr Flint, and Mrs Waterhouse, students arrived at the resort around dinnertime on the first day. On arrival, students were measured and fitted with their skis and equipment, before settling into the hotel which would be their base for the week.
The action-packed daily itinerary throughout the week ensured that students received the maximum time on the slopes. Following breakfast and a short walk to the slopes, each day commenced with a two-hour lesson led by professional ski instructors. Students would break for lunch and then return to the slopes for a further two-hour lesson. There was a wide range of abilities among the cohort, from complete beginners to competent skiers. Regardless of their starting point, every student made fantastic progress, guided by the patience and expertise of the resort instructors.
It was truly a fantastic week for students and staff, creating memories that will last a lifetime. We are exceptionally proud of our students who consistently displayed our school values of Respect, Perseverance, and Ambition throughout the trip!
