Amazing GCSE Results at The Marlborough School
Article / Posted on 21 Aug 2025

We are delighted to announce the latest outstanding results achieved by Marlborough pupils, this time our GSCE students, class of 2025. As a school, we are significantly above national benchmarks in every measure, and have achieved some of the highest outcomes in our history - a remarkable achievement.

Our Year 11 students deserve every credit for what they have achieved during the past two years of their GCSE courses, and indeed over the last five years of being at the school. We are so proud of the way they have never given up, always maintained a positive attitude, and met every challenge that came their way. Our students, their supportive families and our committed staff have worked incredibly hard, and these results are a testimony to their ambition and perseverance. These results once again demonstrate that Marlborough is a school where you can fulfil all your ambitions and that that we can compete academically with any school in the country.

Behind all our results and data are so many individual stories. Our students have been able to secure their next stages of their educational journey, including some high-quality apprenticeships or College courses. To those pupils leaving us to take up College places or begin Apprenticeships, we wish then every success in their lives after Marlborough. They can be really proud of what they have achieved.

Of course, we are delighted to see so many pupils returning to us in a few weeks' time to be part of our thriving and highly successful Sixth Form. We will be welcoming record numbers of pupils into Sixth Form next year, as the cycle of success and achievement continues. Thank you to all or families, young people and staff – it is a great team effort and such a testament to all the hard work of the past few years.

Mr. A. Hanlon
