Article / Posted on 1 May 2024

Twenty adventurous Year 12 students from our school recently embarked on an exhilarating journey to Abergavenny in Wales for their Duke of Edinburgh Gold practice expedition. Brimming with excitement and anticipation, they eagerly embraced the challenge ahead, ready to conquer the rugged terrain and unpredictable Welsh weather.

During the expedition, these remarkable students exemplified the spirit of teamwork, supporting and encouraging each other through the toughest stretches of the journey.

Despite the challenging weather conditions, our Year 12 students emerged triumphant, successfully completing their practice expedition. All pupils who took part in these expeditions really demonstrated all of our Marlborough values: resilience; ambition; and perseverance! Well done to all involved.
