Charity Week Presentation Assembly

A presentation Assembly was held Wednesday 24th September, to present cheques for monies raised on behalf of our three nominated charities from last academic year: New Yatt Riding for the Disabled (local), Young Minds (national) and Solar Aid (international). Mrs Hoyland who led last year's Charity Week, was overjoyed to confirm the final amount raised from last year's events - a phenomenal £14,703.

Representatives from New Yatt Riding for the Disabled spoke at the assembly, thanking students for their outstanding work, and providing an insight as to how the money raised will directly support the work they do. A personal, heart-felt thank you message was read out on behalf of Young Minds and Solar Aid.

Following the assembly, cheques were presented to each charity for the sum of £4,200. The remaining monies raised will be used to host our Senior Citizens Christmas Party and other charity events.

We are overwhelmed by the generosity and support of each student, and want to thank our parents and carers who have supported their children and the school throughout the year. To all of our students who took part and contributed, you have all been amazing, a shining example of our school vision: Let your light shine.
