Sports Awards 2025

The Marlborough Sports Awards was held on Thursday 26th June. It is a special night in our PE and sport calendar as it is an opportunity to celebrate the sporting success, ambition and perseverance of our students, which, year on year, never fails to amaze us. There were 126 students nominated and this year's Sports Awards was the 20th edition, which means that over the last twenty years, there have been over 2500 nominees and 600 winners. 

Our department vision statement says that we want students to be ambitious in PE by participating in a broad range of activities no matter their gender or ability. We want students to find a sport or activity they are passionate about which is reflective of our whole school vision, ‘let your light shine’.

Former pupil Jed Smithson, also returned to speak to pupils. Jed left Marlborough in 2023 and is currently cycling for pro cycling team ‘TeamVisma Lease a Bike’. Jed is proof that students from our school can go anywhere, be anyone, and do anything.
